How to Delete or Deactivate Your Pacaya Account

If you just need time off, you can temporarily deactivate your account instead of deleting it. When you deactivate:

  • Your profile, activities, and posts are hidden from others.

  • You can still restore your account anytime by logging back in.

  • Your data stays safely stored until you return.

What happens when you permanently delete your Pacaya account

If you choose to delete your account:

  • You won’t be able to reactivate it.

  • All your posts, messages, photos, and activities will be permanently deleted.

  • You’ll lose access to chats, groups, and hosting history.

  • Any pending payouts or wallet balance will be forfeited after deletion.

  • Some data (like messages sent to others) may remain visible to recipients, as those are stored in their accounts.

Before deleting your account

We recommend:

  1. Downloading a copy of your data (profile info, activities, and messages).

  2. Canceling any active plans or resolving refund disputes.

How to permanently delete your account

To delete your account through the app:

  1. Open the Pacaya App.

  2. Go to your Profile.

  3. Tap the Drawer Menu (☰) — also known as the Hamburger Icon.

  4. Select Privacy.

  5. Tap Delete My Account.

If you can’t delete through the app, email us at deletion@pacaya.com for manual deletion.

Data retention and safety

It may take up to 90 days to completely remove your data from backups.
During this period, it won’t be accessible to anyone using Pacaya.
Some data may remain as required for:

  • Legal or regulatory reasons

  • Fraud prevention or abuse investigations

  • Safety and moderation recordkeeping
